Novorender uses oAuth2 against all services, and can thus be connected to the desired “identity provider”. The most common way to manage users in Novorender is by connecting to the Customer’s access control system, such as Active Directory (AD), ForgeRock and others, with SSO (single-sign-on). This allows the Customer to control who should have access to Novorender, based on their internal security groups and access controls. They can also add external (guest) users, inside their tenant, who will then also be able to log in via the Customers SSO.
Furthermore, this also allows the authentication methods that are already standard in the Customer`s company to be used. This means that if the Customer already uses two-factor authentication when logging in, this will also apply to Novorender. For internal, but also externally added, users.
If desired, one may also add users directly inside the Novorender repository. This can be done by using email addresses, and the user(s) will receive an email that they have been added to the project.
It is also possible to grant access to certain projects, without logging in.
