Adv.settings: Activate GENERATED PARAMETRIC DATA

What Does This Feature Do?

When activated, the Generated Parametric Data feature:

• Analyzes the Geometry: It evaluates the geometry of the exported objects.
• Generates Dimensions: Based on this analysis, it generates the dimensions of the objects.
• Simplifies Measurements: With the parametric data available, measuring objects becomes significantly easier and more accurate.

How to Activate the Feature

Follow these steps to activate the Generated Parametric Data feature on your account:

1. Log in to your Novorender account:
   • Visit the Novorender website.
   • Log in using your credentials (remember you need to be an administrator).
2. Navigate to Adv. Settings:
   • Once logged in, click on your profile icon located at the right bottom corner of the screen.
   • Select “Adv. Settings” from the menu.
3. Access the Features section:
   • In the Adv. Settings menu, locate the “Features” tab.
   • Click on the “Features” tab to view the available options.
   • Click on the “Beta”
4. Enable Generated Parametric Data:
   • Scroll through the list  until you find “Generated Parametric Data.”
   • Toggle the switch to the “On” position to enable the feature.
5. Save your Settings:
   • Click the “Save” button to apply the new settings.
6. Upload or rebuild your files:
   • If you have already uploaded files, consider rebulding them to allow Novorender to generate the parametric data.
   • For new uploads, the feature will automatically process and generate the necessary data.
7. Open your scene at explorer.novorender.com and start measuring

NOTE: All the measurements coming from generated parametric data will have an “i” icon next to the results to inform the user that the measurements were generated and are not coming from parametric files.
