Adding a website as a shortcut on the home screen of an phone or tablet can be very convenient. Here is a simple guide on how to do it:

For iPad/iPhone:

  1. Open Safari: Open the Safari browser on your iPad or iPhone.
  2. Go to the website: Navigate to the scene inside Novorender you want to create a shortcut for.
  3. Open the sharing menu: Tap the share icon, which looks like a square with an upward arrow. You can usually find this icon at the bottom of the screen (on iPhone) or at the top right (on iPad).
  4. Add to Home Screen: In the sharing menu, scroll down until you find the “Add to Home Screen” option and tap it.
  5. Name the shortcut: You will be prompted to name the shortcut. This name will appear below the icon on the home screen. Choose a name that makes sense to you, then tap “Add” at the top right.
  6. The icon is added: Now you will find a new icon on your home screen that serves as a shortcut to the website you selected. Tap this icon to open the website directly in Safari.

For Android:

  1. Open Chrome: Open the Chrome browser on your Android device.
  2. Go to the website: Navigate to the scene inside Novorender you want to create a shortcut for.
  3. Open the menu: Tap the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner to open the menu.
  4. Add to Home screen: In the menu, tap “Add to Home screen.”
  5. Name the shortcut: You will be prompted to name the shortcut. This name will appear below the icon on the home screen. Choose a name that makes sense to you, then tap “Add.”
  6. Place the icon: After tapping “Add,” you may be asked to manually place the icon on your home screen. Drag the icon to the desired location and release it.
