We help companies visualize and analyze very large 3D models, integrate a broad set of data and documents on top of 3D, and provide frictionless access to it all via the browser, mobile and even offline.
When better leveraging 3D data, construction projects can reduce errors and rework driving cost overruns and delays.
Novorender’s vision is “3D for all” and we are working hard to help the construction industry better leverage its 3D data via Novorender’s integrated viewer or embedded solution.

Novorender was founded in Stavanger, Norway in 2016. From the outset, the company was fortunate enough to have access to some of the largest construction asset data sets in the world from the Oil & Gas industry (Stavanger is the “oil capital” of Norway). With this starting point, the Novorender team dedicated our early years to researching and developing a scalable way to visualize ANY-size 3D/BIM data in the browser.
After several years of hard at work, the team finally cracked the technology, resulting in a 3D rendering patent and, more importantly, the engine that powers the Novorender product.
Novorender has been built as an open system from the start, meaning we embrace open construction standards (IFC, BCF, IDS, …) and provide open APIs enabling information to flow freely in/out of Novorender.
Moreover, we have separated the code base into our engine, accessible via SDKs, and our open-source front-end. This means we can easily provide Novorender as an embedded solution, the right choice for our most sophisticated clients who are building their own web applications and would like to supercharge their apps with the very best 3D viewing and one-stop-shop BIM platform capabilities.
